The Gretsch G6199TW Billy-Bo FSR is one of those incredible guitars that seamlessly manages to honour its rich heritage whilst pushing forward with modern vision and functionality. Designed in the the Golden Era of Gretsch production, this G6199TW Billy-Bo is one of Gretsch’s rarest guitars.

The iconic original guitar was designed by Bo Diddley in 59′ and was later gifted to legendary guitarist Billy Gibbons, the original can be heard across all your favourite ZZ Top albums. Since Billy was conscious about protecting and preserving such an iconic guitar he approached Gretsch about a replica model, then the Gretsch Billy-Bo guitar was born! This model pays homage to a real piece of guitar history!

The Mahogany body with a maple top is finished in an awesome Western Orange, and with the delicious gold hardware, it looks every bit the classic Gretsch. The Mahogany neck has a rich Rosewood fingerboard that is loaded with the Gretsch Western inlays, It looks awesome. It’s comfortable and really well balanced. Due to incredibly unique body shape you have unprecedented access all over the neck, allowing you to really get those high frets!

With a pair of TV Jones® Power’Tron pickups you have incredible response and definition. They have a great dynamic range and really respond to the way you play, slick and subtle one second and roaring the next. With independent volume for each pickup, a master tone and an overall master volume you can really sculpt your sound and make it your own.

A Pinned Rosewood-Based Adjusto-Matic Bridge and Bigsby Vibrato system offers great stability and is perfect for all those country, jazz and blues licks. A real stunner, this guitar is a great example of timeless Gretsch design.
