Looking at the pics of this sensational Les Paul Traditional first year, you would think it’s all about the top … and you’d be right πŸ™‚ They must have pinched this amazing billet of Ribbon Curled Flamed Maple with mineral streaks from the Custom Shop πŸ˜‰ We thought the Les Paul Standard Plus was amazing … this one was even better! Very clean condition.

The Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Plus electric guitar has all the traditional features you expect from a Les Paul: mahogany body and set neck, figured maple top, and a pair of Gibson’s awesome ’57 Classic humbucker pickups.

The Les Paul Traditional Plus features a gorgeous AA figured maple top which Gibson terms as a “plus top.” Not only does this high-end maple look fantastic (especially when complemented by the Ice Tea Sunburst finish, but also provides extra clarity and definition to the guitar’s tone.

One not-so-traditional improvementβ€”the neck has been dressed by Gibson’s Plek machine, a computer-controlled robot that analyzes the neck, files the frets, and cuts the slots on the nut to a hundredth of a millimeter accuracy for optimal action and intonation without string buzzing.

The Les Paul Traditional Plus wields a pair of Gibson’s ’57 Classic humbuckers. These top-tier pickups are closely modeled on the original PAF — or ‘Patent Applied For’ — pickups from the mid-’50s, and gush with the forceful yet mellow tones associated with vintage Gibsons. Lay down bluesy rhythm tracks, soaring metal solos, or anything in between with the versatile sounds afforded by the ’57 Classics
