The craftsmanship in the woodworking and finish are evident and matched by the wonderful acoustic properties of this beautiful guitar. Details: For this Chamber Concert model the latest classical guitar technology was used: double-top with two ultra-thin layers of high-quality sound woods on either side of a layer of Nomex to give the strength needed for the durability of the top. Back and sides are made of solid Indian Rosewood. The arched “violin back” gives the guitar amazing sound projection and volume, making it ideal for concert performances. The upper bout of the body is sloped to give a ‘raised fingerboard’ in the style of Humphrey guitars. The ebony fingerboard is 52 mm in width at the nut and 62 mm at the 12th fret. The fingerboard also extends to the 20th fret for the treble strings. A rosewood armrest, ultra-smooth frets and a low string action make the Chamber Concert exceptionally easy and comfortable to play

The arched “violin back” gives the guitar amazing sound projection and volume making it ideal for concert performances. The fingerboard also has a 20th fret for repertoire requiring a high c natural in the trebles. A rosewood armrest, ultra smooth frets, soundport on the side, a slight radius in the fingerboard, a low string action and shorter 640 mm scale length make the Chamber Concert exceptionally easy and comfortable to play. Sound is velvety, smooth and balanced across all registers, and being a double-top, it is particularly powerful with a fast response. The warm, rounded trebles and deep basses are easily produced and seem to jump out of the instrument with even the slightest touch.
Yulong Guo has been building guitars since 1983 and has gained a solid reputation in recent years for his high-quality student-level double top guitars, as well as a concert double-top model based on the soundboard designs of Antonius Mueller. However at the 2018 MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Germany, he was able to evaluate an authentic Antonio de Torres guitar, which had a profound effect on him. He set his mind to designing and building a top-quality traditional concert model, and prepared this new model for the 2nd International “Antonio Marin Montero” Guitar Building Competition in Granada, Spain. The guitar was a hit – a major success and it landed him a 2nd prize.
