Classic design for big sound
Taking design and visual cues from the classic Les Pauls, the Les Paul Traditional Pro II with Floyd Rose starts with a traditional weight-relieved mahogany body that’s topped with a carved maple top. This time-tested combination of tonewoods give you sustain, punchy mids, and a smooth high end. The ’60s profile mahogany neck is capped with a smooth-playing rosewood fretboard. The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II with Floyd Rose delivers the sound and feel of the classic Les Paul with modern appointments.
Floyd Rose tailpiece for bending and dive-bombing
The most noticeable addition to this Les Paul Traditional Pro II is its Floyd Rose tailpiece. In the past, adding a Floyd Rose to a Les Paul could seriously compromise the guitar’s stability if not perfectly installed. That’s why Gibson installed the Floyd Rose at the factory and added an R4 locking nut. Not only can you add those crazy dive-bombs and subtle vibrato tones to your playing, but you can do so confidently – the R4 promises exceptional tuning stability, so your strings go right back to pitch.
’57 Classic pickups give you powerful, punchy tones
Two of Gibson’s best-loved humbuckers – a ’57 Classic in the neck position, and a Super ’57 in the bridge – give the Les Paul Traditional the power, punch, and clarity of Gibson’s legendary PAF pickups. To really make your solos shine, sometimes you just need to hit your amplifier with a bit more oomph. This premium guitar makes it easy, with a built-in boost switch that kicks in 10dB of extra gain.
