Massive Power from a Strat

This Fender Standard Stratocaster HH solidbody electric guitar can deliver aggressive, in-your-face tone. Armed with a pair of Blacktop open-coil humbuckers, this full-throated Strat also offers a coil-splitting push-pull switch built into its tone knob, providing you with loads of tonal versatility. Guitarists here at Sweetwater were positively swooning when they wrapped their hands around this solidbody electric guitar’s comfortable modern “C” neck with its fast 9.5″-radius fingerboard. Complete with a vintage-style synchronized tremolo, this Fender Standard Stratocaster HH is a stellar solidbody electric guitar.

Supercharged tone

For this Standard Stratocaster HH solidbody electric guitar, Fender changed out the typical trio of Stratocaster single-coil pickups for a pair of Blacktop open-coil humbuckers. You can coax anything from classic, glassy-clean Fender tones to aggressive, throaty humbucker tones out of these flexible tone machines. On top of that, you get a coil-splitting push-pull switch built into the tone knob, providing you with plenty of additional tonal versatility. This Standard Stratocaster HH was designed to be a flexible guitar that’s ready for any situation.

Comfortable and fast neck

Leo Fender wasn’t a guitar player. In fact, he got his start repairing radios. When designing his original instruments, he had no idea that guitars weren’t supposed to have maple necks. In time, those blonde maple necks and fingerboards became a Fender trademark. The company soon began offering other tonewood options, such as the pau ferro fretboard found here. This Fender Standard Stratocaster HH has a modern C-shaped maple neck and adds a pau ferro fingerboard for a clear sound and smooth feel.

The Fender Strat — an icon of modern music

First introduced in 1954, the Fender Stratocaster has become an icon of modern music. Rock, country, blues — you’ll find a Strat at the heart of just about every musical genre. The distinctive Stratocaster design approaches the realm of modern art. The almost infinitely variable tones are achieved by using a number of combinations of single-coil and humbucking pickups. The roster of notable Stratocaster players includes surf rock pioneer Dick Dale, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, John Frusciante, Mark Knopfler, Yngwie Malmsteen, and hundreds more.
